This was my face when I saw the board:
In the last 2 weeks I have only gone to the box twice. So I have been slacking!!!
Everyday I missed, that’s all I could think about… so I got my ass to the box this morning and was introduced to Fran. I thought with missing so many days, that my endurance would be shot, but I was pleasantly surprised. Of course I am nowhere near doing WODs RX but I did the best I could. My time: 7:43. It was a great experience and really got me motivated. Time to step it up! :)
This is so romantic to me!! :) <3
Just completed the 2nd week of Onramp class and must say, I am loving it! The first week I went was a free trial. I went two days in a row and could hardly walk for 3 days after. Truth be told, that scared the shit out of me. I sucked it up and went the next week. Told myself, I will only go to the 2 days a week (Tues & Thurs) they have Onramp. Thought I should “Ease” into it. So far, I’m happy to say, I haven’t been sore much at all. I think I am ready to up the frequency to at least 3-4 days a week. Waking up at 4:45am hasn’t been an issue at all either and that is freaking awesome! I know I’m just starting out but I’m already finding myself wanting to improve. My Squats, suck bad! I can’t get as low as I want…but I know I will! I thought for sure my confidence or will to improve would have been overcome by the defeatist attitude I feel I’ve had since my early 30’s and gaining weight, but sure as shit I think starting this CrossFit journey has helped me tremendously in ridding that ugly habit! Positive Self-talk is a REALLY GOOD tool! There are article on Crossfit Journal about it. Crossfit is ALREADY helping me with different aspects of my life! So freaking exciting! :)
This is just a small win but it’s a win nonetheless: Before starting this journey, I would ALWAYS wear this black hoodie everywhere I went. I was trying to cover myself up. It was such a burden. Mind you, I live in South Texas… and in the spring it is in the 90’s!!! lol Well, I just realized for the past 2 weeks, I haven’t put that damn thing on. Though I am sure my body hasn’t changed that much YET, I honestly feel more confident about myself!
With the bricks I shit before the WOD I could build a house (sorry- I know, not very lady like) BUT when I’m done, after giving it my all… I can live in that freaking house comfortably! :)
Any of you thinking about starting CrossFit, TRUST me when I say, it will be the BEST thing you could ever do for yourself! Just knowing you’re doing something about your health and weight or whatnot, will give you the confidence to continue on. YOU CAN DO IT!! Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!!
P.S. I’d like to thank all the CF bloggers for all your inspiration and information! <3<3<3
Great article. Being a newbie to CrossFit, I tell myself this often.” It is just one hour! You’ll get through it!” Even though sometimes an hour seems like 4 when you’re huffin and puffin. :)

Absolutely beautiful legs!!!!
I’m talking 5AM ish.. I am wondering if it’s hard for you to perform your best at that early hour? I’m not sure I could, but if I take up Crossfit, I would wanna go early cause it’s so hot where I live. Did you have a hard time adapting?
Mental approach to CrossFit. This is the coolest thing.
Jillian Michaels & Bob Harper doing a Crossfit workout on The Dr.’s. Jillian is looking a bit winded there if ya ask me. Ohh Snap! :)
